Ernesto holds a Degree in Law and a Doctorate in Jurisprudence from the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador, candidate to a Master’s degree in Procedural Law and a Doctorate in Law from the Universidad Nacional de Rosario, Argentina.
In the public sphere he served as Metropolitan Prosecutor of the Metropolitan District of Quito.
He has published several books and articles in prestigious indexed journals.
He has been a professor at the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador from 1994 to date, in the areas of Civil Law and Civil Procedure.
Currently, he is an Arbitrator of the Arbitration and Mediation Center of the Construction Chamber of Quito and of the Center for Alternative Dispute Resolution Methods of the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador.
Founding member of the Ecuadorian Institute of Procedural Law.
